Student Placement

Student Placement

A limited number of student applications are now being accepted for winter/spring 2025. Please reach out to your field coordinator to apply. Although CASA aims to accommodate as many quality placements as possible, requests cannot be guaranteed and depend on preceptor availability.

CASA Mental Health aims to provide post-secondary students with meaningful, inclusive and hands-on learning opportunities within its many programs and departments. CASA offers student placements in both clinical and non-clinical areas.

Clinical placements can include:

  • Clinical social work
  • Occupational therapy
  • Nursing
  • Counselling psychology
  • Child and adolescent psychiatry
  • Medical office assistance
  • Child and youth care

Non-clinical placements can include:

  • Human resources
  • Business intelligence
  • Occupational health and safety
  • Marketing and communications

We encourage field placement coordinators to directly request placements on behalf of education institutions. If you are a student and do not have a field placement coordinator, please reach out directly to CASA’s Student Placement department.

Student placement requests should include the following information:

  • Name and description of the education program
  • Student’s resume
  • Approximate dates of placement and number of hours to be completed
