Children’s Day Program

The Children’s Day Program aims to improve the social and learning skills of children with serious mental health and/or addiction challenges.

What happens in this program?

The program provides group, family and individual therapy while also providing education in a small classroom setting. Kids are encouraged to build on their strengths and develop new skills. Areas of focus include social skills, academic functioning and emotional and sensory awareness.

Kids attend the program daily during the school year.

Who is this program for?

The program is for kids in grades three to six who have completed a mental health assessment within the last six months. The child must have a formal mental health diagnosis and currently be in therapy.

​How do I access this program?

Referrals can be made by a health professional (such as a psychiatrist or therapist) or the child’s school principal through Alberta Health Services at 825-402-6799.
