Taking an age-appropriate approach to talking about world events | CASA on Global Morning News

With everything going on in the world today, it’s hard to know when or how much to talk with our kids about these events. The things we see on the news are often scary and can take a toll on our mental health. So how can families with children take an age-appropriate approach to explaining these things, and how do we protect ourselves from the mental health consequences?

Michael Neeland, a registered social worker and program supervisor at CASA Mental Health joined Global Morning News to talk about maintaining hope and resilience through tough times.

Watch CASA on Global News Morning Edmonton at 7:20 on the first Thursday of every month. Each “Your Mental Health” segment features a specialist from CASA talking about relevant mental health topics to children and families in our community.
