The Trauma Program nurtures connection and safety in the caregiver-child relationship after experiencing trauma. Please note, the Calgary program is under development and not yet accepting referrals.
What happens in this program?
Children and youth are supported through three streams:
Outpatient Trauma Clinic The outpatient clinic offers one-on-one and family therapy appointments.
Trauma and Attachment Group (TAG) TAG is a structured year-long support group for children/teens and their caregivers.
Consultative Services This stream provides trauma consultation to other CASA programs.
Who is this program for?
This program is for children and teens ages five to 17 with complex developmental trauma or attachment issues. They may be having significant challenges in their daily routine.
Children must be in a stable home for at least six months prior to service, and must not be actively involved in a court case and/or custody dispute or scheduled to be involved in a court case in the near future.
Families must live in the Edmonton area or Calgary.
How do I access this program?
Please speak to a mental health therapist or physician to discuss a referral. These professionals can be from Recovery Alberta, CASA or a private practice. They will need to fill out the form below.
