CASA patients, families, employees, volunteers and community members are invited to join us at CASA Family Fest for activities, food and fun! Bring your friends and loved ones  everyone is welcome

Saturday, Sept. 14, 2024
10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
CASA Centre Field, 10645 63 Avenue NW, Edmonton

What will you experience?

  • Get active with yoga and yard games.
  • Get creative by making gratitude bracelets and other crafts.
  • Pet wellness dogs.
  • Participate in the ceremonial raising of First Nations tipis. Elders and Knowledge Keepers will share traditional Indigenous teachings and storytelling. A medicine wheel activity will be available for families to learn about wellness and life balance. 
  • Build community with other CASA kids, families, staff, volunteers and community members.
  • Purchase lunch or snacks at food trucks (Fat Franks and the Lemongrass Grill). Those who registered will be entered into a draw for free food truck vouchers! Winners will be notified by email. Free ice cream, popcorn and popsicles will be available.
  • De-stress at the mindfulness stations.
  • Learn through play at the CASA discovery stations.

Details

  • This is an outdoor event.
  • Please dress for the weather and consider bringing hats, sunscreen, bug spray or rainwear if appropriate.
  • Free parking is available in the CASA Centre lot. Should the designated parking lot be full, attendees can park on the nearby streets. To respect our neighbours living in the community, please park on the side of the street closest to CASA Centre.
  • Stop by the Welcome Tent for a chance to collect tote bags and, if you were notified by email that you won the draw, free food truck vouchers.
  • By attending the event, you consent to filming, photography and sound recordings.

Event timings

While other activities are available throughout the event, there is a yoga class schedule:

  • 10:30 a.m. – 11 a.m. Itsy Bitsy Yoga (ages three to 12)
  • 11 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. Itsy Bitsy Yoga (ages three to 12)
  • 11:30 a.m. – 12 p.m. Teen and Adult Yoga (ages 12+)
  • 12 p.m. – 12:30 p.m. Itsy Bitsy Yoga (ages three to 12)
  • 12:30 p.m. – 1 p.m. Teen and Adult Yoga (ages 12+)
  • 1 p.m. – 1:30 p.m. Itsy Bitsy Yoga (ages three to 12)
  • 2 p.m. – 2:30 p.m. Itsy Bitsy Yoga (ages three to 12)

Parents are welcome to attend the Itsy Bitsy Yoga and the Teen and Adult Yoga classes. Yoga mats aren’t necessary for the sessions, though some will be available to borrow.

Registration and attendance

Registration closed on Sept. 12, but drop-in guests are welcome! Drop in any time between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m.
