Donor Spotlight: Rotary Club of Edmonton Strathcona

CASA Mental Health is committed to providing a community where all children, youth and families are empowered to thrive through timely mental health care.

Thanks to the generosity of donors like the Rotary Club of Edmonton Strathcona, CASA is able to reach more Alberta youth and deliver mental health services that not only centre on the child, but wrap around the entire family.

How did the Rotary Club of Edmonton Strathcona first hear about CASA Mental Health?

Our Rotary District and Rotary International have been focused on mental health for several years. Some of our members have had personal experience with the programs and are grateful for CASA’s support.

What has been the Rotary’s philanthropic journey with CASA?

We have contributed to CASA in the past and feel the extent of services in the province and within our district reflect the direction of the philanthropic support we as Rotarians are known for.

Is there a particular story or lived experience you have heard about that motivated your decision to support CASA?

Our past president’s son and their family was supported through CASA during a crisis and was instrumental in saving the child from harm. We and they are grateful for this support.

Why is it important for service groups like the Rotary to support organizations like CASA?

Our mission is SERVICE ABOVE SELF, and as Rotarians, our purpose is to serve the community.

What would you say to someone else looking to get involved with CASA?

In our view, this is the most far reaching, best outcome based organization that we could support with the dollars we raise.
