CASA Mental Health supporting kids going back to school | CASA on Global Morning News

This is the first week of school for thousands of kids across the Edmonton region. Going back to class can create feelings of uncertainty and anxiety for some students, with questions like “will I make friends?” or “will I like my teacher and do well in class?”

As parents, how can we support our children, and how do we know if they’re just feeling uncertain, or if they’re struggling and need more help? Michael Neeland, Program Supervisor with CASA’s Core program joined Global Morning News to help parents sort through some of those questions.

Watch CASA on Global News Morning Edmonton at 7:20 on the first Thursday of every month. Each “Your Mental Health” segment features a specialist from CASA talking about relevant mental health topics to children and families in our community.
