Indigenous Services

CASA’s Indigenous Services team works to improve the mental health care of Indigenous children, adolescents and families through education, consultation and Indigenous-informed, holistic, culturally safe patient care. Our programs and services integrate traditional Indigenous mental health and wellness practices and world views into western mental health approaches to consultation, assessment and treatment.

Indigenous Services is part of a larger community investment that works to improve the continuum of child and adolescent mental health care in partner First Nation and Métis communities. Indigenous Services works collaboratively with leadership, advisory councils, Elders, Knowledge Keepers, community service providers and school divisions to increase mental health literacy and improve access to mental health and addiction services to support self-sustainment. As we walk alongside our First Nations and Métis partners, we acknowledge a reciprocal relationship of learning founded on mutual respect and trust.

On purpose. With purpose.

CASA Mental Health aims to create a work environment that mirrors the diversity of the people we serve, ensuring the safety and well-being of both staff and patients.

We value and celebrate the unique perspectives, backgrounds, and cultures that unite us as an organization
