Announcing CASA’s Core Program!

Launching in the fall of 2022, CASA’s Core mental health clinic is an amalgamation of two previously separate intake streams, Infant and Preschool Services (IPS) and School Aged Services (SAS). The implementation of Core means one single stream of intake for children ages three to 17. Through Core, we strive to provide timely and high-quality mental health care to children, youth and their families.

Core’s goal is to promote, preserve and restore the mental health of children, youth and their families by:

  • Providing an opportunity to understand, repair and re-experience problematic mental health experiences in new and healthy ways;

  • Treating each child, youth and family according to their unique needs and assisting each to attain their potential functioning within their community;

  • Helping children, youth and families to recognize, appreciate and use their strengths to achieve their goals.

Who It’s For

  • Children and youth with a wide range of mental health concerns, including social and emotional difficulties, behavioural challenges, anxiety, depression and/or relational challenges.

  • Families living in the Edmonton area.

Please note that the program will not accept any referrals that are high-conflict.

For a referral to Core, please contact AHS Children, Youth and Families (CYF) Mental Health Intake Office at 825-402-6799. Parents of children ages three to five are still able to self-refer.
